Breathable + Halal
What is breathable nail polish?
This is a type of nail polish that has been formulated in such a way to allow water and oxygen to pass through (hence the more chemically accurate term: “water permeable”).
Traditional nail polish formulas have a much tighter chemical structure that creates a solid layer over each nail so that nothing goes through. However this has been viewed by many to weaken nails, especially for those who keep nail polish on their nails for a long period of time; or who have very frequent manicures.
With Dani + Kiara’s breathable nail polish, the chemical structures have been ‘loosened’ so as to allow water and oxygen to flow through, thus allowing you to still have beautiful enduring manicures without having to sacrifice the health of your nails.
But nails don’t need to breathe. So why do I need a breathable nail polish?
This is in fact very true! Our nails don’t need to breathe because they get their required oxygen and nutrients from the blood flow to the nail bed beneath.
But there are still some benefits of a breathable nail polish formula!
1) Healthier nails
Our nails contain micro-pores that allow our natural body oils to keep them hydrated, flexible and healthy! Traditional nail polish that are not breathable would trap these oils and weaken the nail. Dani + Kiara’s breathable nail polish would not restrict this movement of oil through the nail, keeping your nail naturally and beautifully hydrated and healthy!
2) More enduring manicures
Along the same lines of trapped oils, traditional manicures don’t tend to last long because the oils on your nail bed doesn’t allow your nail polish to adhere well to it.

3) Faster manicures
Who likes waiting for their nail polish manicure to dry? Not us!
Dani + Kiara’s breathable nail polish allows oxygen (and air in general) to penetrate through and this reduces the time taken for it to dry.

4) Wudhu-friendly manicures
A big part of Nail Deck has always been about making nails easy, fun, accessible and inclusive to everyone.
But we cannot truly aim to be an accessible and inclusive brand if we do not have at least one formula that caters to our Muslim community!

What is Halal nail polish?
This is nail polish that has been produced in such a way, under supervision, to be in compliance with Halal protocols and requirements according to Islamic Law.
Dani + Kiara’s nail polish has been certified by the ISWA Halal Certification Department under the USA Halal Chamber of Commerce.
