What is Light Lacquer?

Light Lacquer is a new nail colour formulation that:

(1) applies simply like polish;

(2) dries and cures like gel;

(3) shines and lasts like gel;

(4) removes effortlessly without harsh chemicals

What are the ingredients in Light Lacquer?

Light Lacquer does not contain Formaldehyde, Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Camphor, Formaldehyde Resin, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide, Phthalates and Parabens.

For full list of specific ingredients, please see the label on individual products.

How do I remove Light Lacquer from my nails?

Just peel it right off! There’s no need to soak your nails in harsh acetone or do any damaging scraping of the nails.

P.S. we recommend starting from the base near the cuticle, then go along the sides of your nails, before peeling off the whole surface off in one piece from left to right (or right to left)!

How long can one bottle of light lacquer last?

Each bottle is 17ml and can deliver about 30 full sets of nails that can last for 7-10 days each. Please note that Individual results may vary.

What is the shelf life of light lacquer?

No, but we recommend it to be used within 24 months from opening. Sometimes the formula may become sticky and harder to use if:

  • the cap is not closed tightly after use

  • the cap is left off the bottle for a long period of time and the formula dries up

  • the bottle is left in direct sunlight or strong heat

do I Need to use a special base coat before applying light lacquer?

Nope you do not! Just apply Light Lacquer straight onto your nails like how you would for traditional nail polish.

do I Need to use a special top coat after applying light lacquer?

Nope you do not as well! Light Lacquer cures to a super high shine that we believe in so much, we don’t even sell a separate topcoat product!

And unlike traditional gel, there is no sticky tacky surface after curing too so say goodbye to alcohol wipes!

So… are you saying i only need just this one bottle of light lacquer to do a full manicure?

That’s absolutely right! Once you cure your Light Lacquer, you’re done and ready to conquer the world!

How do i apply light lacquer?

If you’ve already been painting your nails all this time, you don’t have to do anything different! But here are just some tips to help you out:

  • Start with clean dry nails (remove oil and dirt with a nice soapy hand wash)

  • Apply two thin coats rather than one thick coat. While it might save time to just do one thick coat, it will affect the longevity of your Light Lacquer manicure.

  • Depending on the quality of the UVLED lamp you use, the typical amount of time we recommend for curing each layer is 90 - 120 seconds.

How long does light lacquer last?

As a formula that allows you to peel it off cleanly, it will undoubtedly not last as long as a traditional gel. However we have done rigorous testing to ensure it should stay on your nails for at least 7 - 10 days until you want to peel it off. Individual results may vary depending on your daily activities that require the use of your hands and nails.

What if i get light lacquer on my skin and cuticles?

It’s important to not allow uncured Light Lacquer stay on your skin and cuticles for prolonged periods of time. Wipe away any Light Lacquer on your skin and cuticles with acetone or another similar remover to avoid potential skin irritation.

Does light lacquer cause damage to natural nails?

Full disclaimer: all nail products would damage your nails to some extent. But Light Lacquer is significantly less harsh on your nails because the removal process is unlike traditional gel and does not require drilling, filling, soaking in acetone or heating. Just peel it off and you’re good to go for another round! Perfect for a quick fix or a quick colour change.
